Quality Assurance and Guarantee

Dental restorations from a state-of-the-art laboratory, supported by careful quality assurance and clear product guarantee protocols.

About this guarantee

Souldent is dedicated to providing high quality dental products, custom-made from conventional impressions or digital intraoral scans. This guarantee explains the quality controls followed by Souldent Dental Laboratory and the product guarantee available to dental practices who source work directly from Souldent.

Our Quality Control

Souldent follows structured quality control procedures throughout the laboratory workflow, from receipt of the case through design, manufacture, finishing, final inspection, and dispatch. Each case is checked against the submitted prescription, clinical instructions, materials requested, and the information supplied by the referring dental practice.

Our products are developed and produced under quality management processes designed to support accuracy, reliability, traceability, and compliance with applicable medical device requirements. Quality checks are carried out at key stages of production so that each restoration can proceed only when it meets the required technical standard.

Incoming impressions, models, intraoral scans, and supporting records are reviewed before production begins. Where a concern is identified that may affect fit, function, shade, occlusion, or the final clinical result, Souldent may contact the practice before proceeding.

During production, Souldent uses case tracking, batch numbering, and case management processes to support traceability. Where required, the manufacturing history of a case can be reviewed internally to assist with quality assurance, remake assessment, or guarantee review.

Finished cases are examined before release to the customer. This final inspection is intended to confirm that the work corresponds with the prescription and that the restoration has been completed to Souldent’s expected standard of craftsmanship and precision.

Our Product Guarantee

Souldent offers a guarantee on qualifying crown, bridge, ceramic, zirconia, veneer, and implant work for fractures or defects that occur as a result of the manufacturing process. Where Souldent agrees to replace a product, the replacement will be made to the original specification. Substitute materials or amended specifications will not be accepted unless agreed in writing by Souldent.

Guarantee periods apply from the date of the original invoice issued to the customer.

Important Exclusions

  • Veneers, inlays, and onlays are excluded from the standard crown and bridge guarantee. Veneers only carry the specific veneer guarantee period stated in the table above, where the issue is attributable to manufacturing defect.
  • Removable appliances carry the specific 3 month manufacturing defect warranty stated in the table. This warranty excludes negligence, abuse, misuse, accidental damage, chairside modification, patient-related factors, and normal wear and tear.
  • No additional guarantee applies to removable appliances beyond the 3 month manufacturing defect warranty unless Souldent agrees otherwise in writing.
  • The guarantee does not apply where damage or failure is caused by clinical factors, patient accident, patient misuse, bruxism or parafunctional habits, poor oral hygiene, treatment plan changes, inadequate preparation, inaccurate impressions or scans, cementation issues, or modification after delivery.

Conditions of Guarantee

  1. Guarantee periods apply from the date of the original invoice issued to the customer for the specified product duration.
  2. The damaged product must be returned to Souldent for inspection before any claim can be assessed.
  3. Souldent will assess the returned product and determine whether a replacement, full refund, partial refund, credit, or no claim acceptance is appropriate.
  4. The product will be remade to the original specification. Semi-precious or high-precious metals, new implant components, or replacement third-party components may be charged separately.
  5. The guarantee may extend to the replacement product, except where Souldent considers that the material selected by the customer carries a higher than usual risk of fracture or defect.
  6. Souldent reserves the right to void the guarantee where, in Souldent’s reasonable judgment, the damage was not caused by the manufacturing process.
  7. This guarantee is offered to dentists and dental practices who have sourced products directly from Souldent. It does not exclude or limit any rights a consumer may have under applicable European Union consumer law.

How to Make a Guarantee Claim

To request a guarantee review, the referring practice should contact Souldent in writing and provide sufficient information for the case to be assessed. The following information should be supplied where available:

  • Practice name, clinician name, and contact details.
  • Original invoice number, case number, and patient reference where applicable.
  • Description of the issue and the date the issue was identified.
  • Photographs, scans, models, or supporting clinical notes where relevant.
  • Return of the damaged product for laboratory inspection before a final decision is made.

Souldent will review the returned item and advise the practice of the outcome. Guarantee approval is subject to inspection and the conditions stated in this document.

Terms & Conditions

This guarantee should be read together with Souldent’s Terms & Conditions and remake policy. By submitting a guarantee claim, the practice confirms acceptance of the applicable terms.

A guarantee claim does not automatically suspend payment obligations on outstanding invoices unless agreed by Souldent in writing.

Souldent may update this guarantee from time to time. The version published on the Souldent website or otherwise supplied by Souldent will apply to future cases unless agreed in writing.
